Woven in Kolkata. Carried by four generations. What began with visionary hands a quiet devotion to integrity and excellence turned rare fibers into heirlooms meant to be kept. Today, that living legacy travels the world: a family's craft of trust, quality, and artistry, passed forward thread by thread.

Since -1881-

THE VISION BEHIND VEAVE LORE

Our story begins in the heart of Kolkata, 1881 a living tapestry of excellence, passed with reverence through four generations. At its foundation stood a visionary whose discerning eye and unwavering principles built something far greater than a craft he built a legacy.

He did not merely make shawls. He elevated the art of Pashmina, transforming delicate threads into heirlooms of integrity. Each piece was a promise a narrative of skill and dedication woven so deeply that its value would outlast any single generation.

That promise is the soul of Veavelore.

Making of Pashmina and Kani Shawl

Soft, attractive, and elegant Kashmiri shawls are the result of the weavers' skills in colouring, designing, embellishing and the use of fine fabrics. The geographical position of the Kashmir valley, the northwest region of India, is also vital in providing the finest and softest fleece, the main source of Fibre. After cleaning and processing, the fleece is used for creating Pashmina items.

Weaving Tradition into Every Thread: The Art of Kashmiri Pashmina Shawls

Javid Ahmad Malik, a master weaver from Kashmir, upholds the age-old tradition of crafting Pashmina shawls, a skill inherited from his father. Through decades of dedication, Javid blends traditional craftsmanship with innovation, producing shawls of unmatched elegance. Each piece reflects the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir, symbolizing resilience and beauty. Javid's work not only honors his family's legacy but also invites us to partake in a timeless tradition woven into the very fabric of Kashmir.
