Handcrafted in Srinagar, the historic heart of Kashmiri heritage weaving, this striped Pashmina shawl is spun from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber. The fiber is hand-combed with care from the delicate undercoat of the Changthangi goat. This goat survives the relentless winters of the Changthang plateau in Ladakh. It grows a fleece of unmatched fineness and warmth. The centre of the shawl rests in a pure, clean navy. It is vast, calm, and quietly commanding. The border stripes arrive in measured succession: deep burgundy, violet purple, cool teal, warm mustard gold, and muted sage green. Each stripe is woven directly into the fabric. They are permanent and precise. Never printed. Never applied.
