The dark ground of the shawl does not hide the blooms but makes each one stand out more brightly.

Handcrafted in Srinagar, the historic center of Kashmiri weaving, this Palledar Pashmina shawl is made from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber. The wool is hand-combed from the soft undercoat of the Changthangi goat, raised high on the Changthang plateau in Ladakh, where the environment shapes its quality. The shawl’s body is a deep black, calm and steady, creating a perfect background for the embroidery. At both ends, the traditional Palledar pallu features a flowing garden of hand-stitched Sozni needlework. Paisleys, florals, and vines appear in warm gold, terracotta, blush pink, teal, coral, and sage green. The stitches are so fine and dense that the embroidery feels as rich as woven fabric. A narrow border in the same colors runs along the long edges, framing the shawl and giving it a finished look from every angle. This is Palledar tradition at its best, with body, border, and pallu coming together as one complete piece.
