Description

A Pashmina washed in soft dawn tones — blush, taupe, and pale grey blurring like pigment on wet paper — scattered with small multi-colour sozni buti, finished with a fine turquoise-and-pink hashia. Aab-e-Rang is the Urdu word for watercolour; the ground carries exactly that painterly quality.

Pure Pashmina from Ladakh's Changthangi goat — gathered above 14,000 feet at the spring moult, then hand-shaded in soft watercolour tones. Woven in Srinagar in fine twill and scattered with sozni buti, each motif worked individually by hand. A fine multi-colour hashia and saffron piping finish the edge.

A watercolour-shaded ground is among the most delicate dye effects in Pashmina — several tones blended wet so no edge reads hard. Paired with fine buti and a vivid border, the result is soft yet alive. Cruelty-free fibre, fair-wage karigars, each shawl signed by the master.
