The Sarv Empire Oversized Pashmina Shawl rises tier upon tier like a palace façade in bloom. Cypress-flame botehs in saffron, mihrab arches in brick red and flowering mounds in emerald interlock across the entire cloth, every space between filled with minute Sozni needlework, no ground left bare.

The shawl is handwoven from pure Kashmiri Pashmina, spun from the fine undercoat of the Changthangi goat of Ladakh, and cut oversized for a deep, enveloping drape. At each end the composition resolves into striped mihrab columns in rose, emerald, saffron and ivory, each crowned with a flowering buta.

Years of accumulated skill and months of unbroken needlework meet in this piece, the Jamawar tradition at full voice. Worn once or treasured always, it is an heirloom made to be passed down.
