Handcrafted in Srinagar, the historic center of Kashmiri weaving, this ombré Pashmina stole is made from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber. The fiber is hand-combed from the delicate undercoat of the Changthangi goat, which grows its fleece during the long, cold winters of the Changthang plateau in Ladakh. This process creates a fiber so fine and warm that it has defined luxury textiles for centuries. The stole begins at the shoulder with a deep, saturated cerulean blue, the color of a clear Kashmir sky. From there, it shifts in a smooth gradient, lightening through sky blue and ending in a pale, luminous aqua at the hem. The dye is absorbed into the Ladakhi Pashmina fiber itself, not just on the surface, so the gradient keeps its clarity and depth through every season.
