Description

An off-white Pashmina stole worked with hand-embroidered Sozni across the field and a banded border at the ends. The needlework is set into handwoven Pashmina with a fine needle, not painted or woven, so the colour sits on the natural cream cloth.

Chinar leaves and small flowering sprigs are scattered over the field in loose rows, each worked in close multicolour. A wide floral-and-paisley border runs across both ends, held by a fine gold edge line and a self-fringe.

The ground stays an off-white cream, the embroidery led by red, green and violet against it. Handwoven from Ladakhi Pashmina, the cloth keeps a light, soft handle and an even grain beneath the scattered work.
