Description

Wind never moves in straight lines. It bends and sweeps, shaping whatever it touches and leaving traces behind. Baad-e-Neel is inspired by these traces, like the path of a dark wind across an indigo sky, captured at the moment when movement and stillness meet.

Handcrafted in Srinagar, the historic center of Kashmiri weaving, this check-and-stripe Pashmina stole is made from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber. The fiber is hand-combed from the soft undercoat of the Changthangi goat, raised on the high, windy Changthang plateau in Ladakh, where only the strongest survive. The base of the stole is a deep, rich royal blue, a color that stands out with confidence. Large ikat flame motifs in charcoal black and silver grey move boldly across the surface, each one showing the feathered, brushstroke look of true ikat weaving. The pattern feels like it comes from within the fabric, not just placed on top. The marks are bold and lively, offering a striking look from afar and revealing fine details up close. At the hem, a wide band of pure charcoal black finishes the design with a clear, strong statement.
