Up close, it reveals an intricate world of zigzag ikat blocks in coral, blush, and ivory — a pattern so alive it seems to pulse.

Handcrafted in Srinagar, the historic heart of Kashmiri heritage weaving, this check Pashmina shawl is woven from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber — hand-combed from the impossibly soft undercoat of the Changthangi goat, which grows its fleece through the relentless winters of the Changthang plateau in Ladakh, developing a warmth and fineness that no other fiber on earth has managed to equal. The base of the shawl settles in a deep, luminous amethyst purple — rich but never heavy, the colour of twilight over the Kashmir valley seen from altitude. Across this, bold geometric ikat blocks in coral red, warm blush pink, and clean ivory white move in a rhythmic zigzag pattern that covers the entire surface, each block carrying the characteristic feathered edge of true ikat weaving — soft at the boundary, vivid at the centre, shifting as the fabric moves. Toward the borders, the purple deepens quietly, giving the whole composition a natural, unhurried vignette.
