Description

A natural Pashmina stole banded with woven colour — orange, green, teal, red and gold gathered into stripes that cross the oatmeal ground at intervals, with plain stretches between. Ufuq is the Urdu word for horizon; the colour-bands stack across the cloth the way light stacks low in the sky at dusk.

Pure Pashmina from Ladakh's Changthangi goat — gathered above 14,000 feet at the spring moult. The bands are woven, not embroidered: dyed yarns laid into warp and weft on a traditional Kashmiri loom, the slight waver of the lines the mark of the hand. A self-fringe finishes the ends.

Wide natural ground between the colour keeps it calm and easy to wear — bands of warmth and cool held apart by bare cloth, light and soft as any fine Pashmina. Colour drawn through the weave, never onto it. Cruelty-free fibre, fair-wage weavers, each stole signed by the maker.
