Description

The Gulshan Breeze Pashmina Shawl lets a flowering meadow drift freely across a soft white ground. Pink and magenta blossoms, turquoise curls and olive-gold stems move in loose, natural sweeps, hand-painted by master kalamkars and then raised in fine Sozni needlework, so the field sways like a garden in the wind.

The shawl is handwoven from pure Kashmiri Pashmina, spun from the fine undercoat of the Changthangi goat of Ladakh, feather-light yet deeply warming. Upright flowering butas border each end over the plain white finish, edged in a fine yellow stitch with a soft natural fringe.

Months of painting and needlework meet in this one-of-a-kind piece. Worn over evening wear or the simplest knit, it is an heirloom made to be passed down.
