Description

Deep red, but never flat. The ground is handwoven as a fine check, red crossed with black so the colour shifts as it catches the light, richer than any single dye could sit.

Across it, gold floral sprigs are hand-embroidered one by one, scattered over the body and drawn tighter into a border along the fall. Each sprig is a small piece of needlework in its own right, and the whole cloth carries hours of it. The gold sits close in tone to the red, so the pattern feels worked into the shawl rather than laid over it.

The base is pure Ladakhi Pashmina, warm without weight and soft in the drape. Red on a man reads as confidence, and this one carries it over a black kurta, a bandhgala or an evening coat. Fringe finishes each end. A statement piece to own, and a generous one to give.
