Handcrafted in Srinagar, the center of Kashmiri heritage weaving, this check Pashmina shawl is spun from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber hand-combed from the undercoat of the Changthangi goat, which grazes the frozen pastures of the Changthang plateau in Ladakh. Its warm beige base is crossed with broad checks in charcoal, lavender, and ivory, a palette taken from the landscape that produced the fiber. The check pattern is woven, not printed or applied, making it as enduring as the craft behind it.
