Handcrafted in Srinagar, the historic heart of Kashmiri heritage weaving, this check Pashmina shawl is spun from the finest Ladakhi Pashmina fiber — hand-combed with patience from the delicate, cloud-soft undercoat of the Changthangi goat, raised in the brutal cold of the Changthang plateau in Ladakh, where altitude and winter combine to produce a fleece of extraordinary fineness. Across the shawl, a large open block check unfolds in three tones — soft sage green, cool silver grey, and muted cornflower blue — each block generous and unhurried, its edges carrying a beautiful ikat-like softness that gives the pattern the quality of a watercolour seen at just the right distance. The colours do not compete. They breathe together, shifting gently as the light moves across the fabric, like water shifting when the wind finds it.
