Description

An all-over embroidered jamawar shawl worked on a natural, undyed Pashmina ground in a warm bisque. The field is covered edge to edge in fine Sozni needlework, hand-embroidered in a single ivory thread that sits tone on tone against the pale ground.

The embroidery runs as a dense paisley jaal, boteh forms linked by slender floral vines, drawn close enough to cover the whole cloth. A central medallion anchors the field and a paisley border frames the four edges. The ivory thread is matt, and its raised grain gives the surface a quiet, worked texture.

The palette holds to two natural tones, ivory on undyed greige, with no further colour introduced. Hand-embroidered on handwoven Ladakhi Pashmina, it keeps the fine, even grain of pure Pashmina throughout, finished with a self-fringe along the ends.
